Theres very little I dont like about the Xencelabs Pen Display 16.
The rest of its design is pleasingly minimal.
In terms of performance, its exceedingly responsive and can rival many of thebest drawing tablets.
But for most people, this is the perfect combo of price and high-end results.
In my book, thats well worth spending the additional cash.
According to Xencelabs specs, the screen is also etched to provide a traditional pen-and-paper-like drawing experience.
At first, I was a bit underwhelmed by its construction.
And whatever angle youre using this drawing tablet at, its a pretty comfortable experience.
This simplicity also extends to its cabling at least up until a point.
But Id argue that wont be unfamiliar for anyone wanting a truly pro-level setup.
It even comes with a carrying case that fits all of these accessories inside while being comfortable to carry.
Its a level of thoughtfulness thats all too often overlooked when buying modern gadgets.
And when sketching at speeds, there was very little jitter or imprecision: motion was smooth and fluid.
And this isnt the only customizable thing.
The Pen Display 16s pens handle pressure very well indeed.
