So, wireless controllers (and/or a wireless mouse and keyboard) might be a better path for you.

My gaming PC is now showing its age, having an ailingNvidiaRTX 2060 Super inside.
Thats more urgent now, as I subsequently bought a new 1440p (165Hz) monitor.
Fingers firmly crossed, as ever.
A double win, essentially.
On the downside, Ill miss out on those PS5 exclusives, true.
Im really keen to give this idea a shot and am very hopeful itll work out well.
With that scheme of things, and wireless controllers, you wouldnt have any trailing leads at all.
