The bad news: all US retailers are currently sold out.
In short, the higher-end card is easily competitive with theNvidiaRTX 5070 Ti.
Of course, that makes it a superb option when stock is running low at other retailers.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT stockat EbuyerEbuyer is a fantastic source for graphics card and pre-builts.
LIVE: Latest Updates
When are retailers going live with sales?
That will be 9AM ET for those of us joining in the US.
We’ll of course be on the lookout for stock in the meantime, however.
A correction
Just a minor correction to my last post.
I incorrectly stated that no US retailers have listed their stock.
There are in fact cards you could already check out at bothBest BuyandMicro Centreright now.
That includes prices - which I’ll be taking a look at in my next post!
The White version is listed at $749, which is bonkers to me.
Are people so desperate for a white card that they’ll pay an extra $150?
My hope here is that each individual listing has plenty of stock to back it up!
More details on UK stock - it’s good news and bad news!
Our writer Darren Allenhas just posted an interesting news piece on UK stock levelsthat’s well worth checking out.
That’s the good news.
Hmmm, where did Micro Centre’s listings go?
You know, I swear Micro Centre had a number of cards listed earlier with prices.
I’ve just tried to find them on the site and they’ve seemingly disappeared.
Am I going crazy?
From everything I’ve read so far, it’s looking like stock is pretty good.
After the Nvidia launches, nothing surprises me anymore.
I’ll be updating this page with stock updates at all the major retailers throughout the next few hours.
Hopefully you’ll all be able to get yourselves a shiny new GPU - good luck!
Cards are live at Overclockers in the UK
Here we go, folks.
One of the biggest retailers in the UK now has cards live.See them here.
Was that 15 minutes?
Note that there are still cards up for grabs at Ebuyer and CCL.
There are, however, quite a few cards still availableat the retailer at $729 and above.
Struggling to get on Overclockers and Scan?
Newegg has finally sold out…
Yep, unfortunately so.
It looks like people eventually bit the bullet and forked out the extra for one of the higher-end models.
Newegg sold out about 30 minutes ago and so has Amazon by the looks of it.
So, what now?
I have a few suggestions.
Firstly, it’s worth checking if there’s a Micro Centre near you.
Secondly, you could try other retailers with significant local stock - like Best Buy, for example.
Amazon in particular seems to be drip feeding stock via third-party merchants today.
Beware, scalpers are active
Because of course they are.
Did you expect a GPU launch without people trying to take complete advantage of gamers?
Unfortunately, several unscrupulous types are already listing cards at a significant markup versus the MSRP.
Don’t let these people take advantage of you!
I don’t think we’re in ‘paper launch’ territory with this one.
By all accounts, it does appear that a large number of cards were sold.
My only question here is - to whom?
What’s the latest?
Hello, James Pickard here!
However, it’s a situation we’ll monitor over the coming weeks as more stock arrives.
So, expect to pay a little more than the RRP of 569.
Looking at UK retailers this morning it’s pretty good news.
Well, relative tootherGPU launches recently.
Unfortunately, stock remains almost impossible to find on these cards right now outside of some bundles and pre-builts.
I’m going to list out the bundles still available at Newegg just below.
Honestly, I’d recommend holding off unless youreallyneed a new motherboard or power supply alongside your GPU.
It’s also the only retailer that’s listing concrete restock estimates on its site.
There are cards in stock at Overclockers
Just a quick update from me, folks.
It’s worth checking in daily for new stock
That’s my key takeaway today.
As always, I recommend that people exercise patience instead of caving in to scalpers.
If you’re in the US in particular then online retailers are more or less completely dry right now.
Even Micro Centre seems to have sold out of it’s initial batch of cards.
If you’re in the UK, then things are a little rosier - but only just.
How is that relevant?
The “trick” here refers to using the chat function on Best Buy to contact a sales rep.
It’s hard to say how long it takes Overclockers to actually update its website.
From a quick count, there are 6 variants on sale so there’s a fair amount of choice.
The bad news is that several cards at above 700 arestillselling out within a few hours.
Ebuyer currently haspreorders for XT cards listed at 669.99with a mid-April delivery date.
Anywhere between $820 and $950.
And the cardsstillsold out.
Suffice to say, the RX 9070 XT stock situation is still absolutely crazy in the US right now.
No retailers are anywhere near fulfiling demand right now considering how quickly these cards sold out.
An alternative if you’re in the UK - the RTX 5070 Ti at Amazon!
Firstly, Newegg hasstarted to restock a few cards in the US.
Over in the UK, Amazon has started to list cardsin the 680 to 720 range.
I expect we’ll see a new batch of cards being delivered at retailers in April, too.
This is definitely a good sign, however, as Amazon has a big spring sale running currently.
Fingers crossed we’ll see more stock elsewhere soon.
RX 9070 XT cards are in stock in the US…
But you probably won’t want to buy them, sorry.
We’re pretty close to MSRP with this one, although it is definitely still a pricey buy.
If you’re in the UK, you could alsoconsider picking up an Nvidia RTX 5070.
The retailer Overclockers has a few cardsin stock from 539, which isn’t too bad.
