I wish I had good news to report but right now the service remains down.
So what is Sony saying about it all?
Not very much, unfortunately.
Sony has provided an update on X/Twitter but not a particularly helpful one.
This is far from the first or worst PSN outage of course.
Here’s one of ourreports from the time, if you’re interested in a bit of tech history.

I now see a ‘Can’t load’ text display and the option to return home.
Simply confirming what we already knew PlayStation connection is down.
“Under ‘Your Collection,’ I can still view my entire library within Game Library.
I am also attempting to download some other titles, includingEA Sports Madden NFL 25.
For now, the download is starting.”
I don’t know that a gaming company could get away with a 23-day outage now.
There’d be revolution in the streets.
I will of course keep you updated if thingsdoget back online.
But as I say, that’s not the case for me yet.
So it wasn’t a total washout.

For what it’s worth, the original glazed is also arguably the best Krispy Kreme flavor.
You might notice that all the other sections fail to load, but fear not.
Sony’s PlayStation status page shows many services are experiencing outages.
It seems that games with multiplayer are beginning to recover as well.
Hopefully, it will encourage them to provide a fresh update.
We’ll see if that works, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
The instructions below worked for us and several TechRadar readers.
So that’s a good sign as well.
The popular chain is offering a free Original Glazed doughnut from 5PM to 7PM.
Down Detector also shows this outage’s scale from over 70,000 to around 2,600 reports.
It appears the service is slowly but surely returning, and that’s a good thing!

PlayStation also took the moment to apologize for the hours-long service outage, but the cause is still unknown.
