Maybe excelling at one or the other would have been a better approach.
However, Im not reviewing this headset as a professional rig.
TL;DR, I dont think Vive makes a compelling enough case.

The other issue is the fresnel lens choice.
What’s more, fresnel lenses cause visual distortion at the fringes of the lens.
Im also not a fan of the controllers.
Its worth noting, too, that the PCVR experience will be determined by your PCs specs.
Unfortunately I don’t have as many positives to levy at the headsets standalone performance.
On that topic, the mixed reality is in a word: fine.
Where this VR headset shows its weaknesses is when it comes to standalone software.
Some modern titles might even be completely incompatible.
At least the Vive headsetsoperating systemis generally clean and as intuitive to navigate as other VR headsets Ive tried.
