And that’s a wrap!
Find out the highlights below or scroll our live event coverage for a play-by-play of what went down.
The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event, directed by Sam Mendes.
Lucas Guadagnino, director of Challengers, has a new Amazon film coming out this October
And the really juicy part is that all four movies are slated to come out during April 2028.
I have to say, I’m struggling with this one.
Unfortunately, however, attendees at the event reported that there wasn’t much in the way of news.
Lucas Guadagnino, director of Challengers, has a new Amazon film coming out this October
AND YES WE GOT THE MENTION OF LIVE ACTION ZELDA.
Each one stands alone, but they’re all linked together".
However, that has since been pushed back until August 21, 2026.
We’ll be able to see for ourselves when it releases in cinemas on July 18, 2025.
This kids got game.
The first is the sequel to the Chainsaw Man anime series.

Matt here again!
What can we expect from Lionsgate’s presentation later today?
John Wick isn’t Lionsgate’s only money-making crown jewel, though.
It’ll probably be one of theStranger Thingskids maybe we’ll find out later today.
Well, maybe all will be revealed soon.
The other announced-but-sort-of-unknown movie hanging over Warners' head isDune Messiah.
So does that mean a 2026 or 2027 release date?
If pre-production is in full swing, I would expect a big update on the galactic atrocities to come.
Amelia here to bring your attention to Darren Aaronsky’s new film,Caught Stealing.
So, what could be revealed at CinemaCon 2025?
I’m hoping for a new teaser forJames Gunn’sSupermanmovie.
In the more immediate future, there are plenty of other exciting new films on the Warner Bros docket.
Will Warner show us any new footage from any or all of the above?
Alright, so Lionsgate’s presentation is beginning shortly.
Before it does, though, a ‘State of the Industry’ panel is taking place.
Every life is a universe all its own.
New poster for Mike Flanagan’s Stephen King movie, THE LIFE OF CHUCK.
but it isn’t a scary or gross film.
If I wasn’t already excited for its release this June, I certainly am now!
I’m sure our resident horror expert Lucy Buglass will be seated for this on day one!
Until tomorrow when I’ll be writing up a whole host of DCU and/orBallerinanews stories, then, farewell!
Tom Cruise is known as a champion not just of movies, but of the moviegoing experience.
Lets hope news on that release drops before CinemaCon wraps!
Lionsgate’s event is now underway!
First up is, predictably,Ballerina theJohn Wickspinoff starring Ana de Armas.
welcome to the Second Quarter Quell.
People keep asking if he’s back.
And we didn’t really have an answer.
But yeah, I’m thinking he’s back.
But that’s all the information we really have for now.
It does not go as planned.
The sequel to magician… heist… )Now You See Meshould always, very obviously, have been called ‘Now You Don’t’.
But it was calledNow You See Me 2.
Or, at least, temporarily sated that this particular missed opportunity is no longer missed.
Ah, we have the lightest of teasers forSunrise on the Reaping.
Enjoy some mood-setting molten liquid and snake skin.
A first-look trailer was shown on-stage, though was light on plot.
Bigwigs from Neon and Universal will be on a panel later, for example.
and might drop something juicy.
I even love the pre-roll showing the difference in color and sound in Dolby Cinema.
Well all need to eagerly wait and see where the new Dolby Cinema theaters are going.
And there’s alotthat could come up today, because that company has a ton of stuff cooking.
We’ve already mentioned today the DCU,The Batman’s sequel andDune: Messiah.
But WB has a really strong line on long-awaited sequels coming up, too.
Let’s talk aboutI Am Legend 2for a moment.
This will supposedly star Will Smith reprising his role from the first movie, along with Michael B. Jordan.
Heat 2is the movie I’m really hoping to hear something concrete about.
I also can’t recommend that interview enough if you’re a fan of Mann, by the way.
Let’s talk aboutThe Batman’s sequel.
The big question is who the villains might be, since that’ll tie strongly into the plot.
His family also died but he killed them.
He eventually becomes a sadistic gang boss.
Do you think we’ll hear anything about the long-mootedAkiramovie, which WB has the rights for?
I’m expecting to seeWuthering Heightshere today.
The new adaptation is coming fromSaltburnandPromising Young Womandirector Emerald Fennell, and stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.
And Barry Keoghan is playing the normal best friend, seemingly?
Next up isThe Bride!
that’s their exclamation mark, not mine, though I’m looking forward to this one.
‘Firstly, when I read Maggie’s script, it was like being plugged into an electrical current.’
I have not seen the newMortal Kombat, but I hear it’s pretty good!
Weapons(the new movie from the director ofBarbarian) also makes an appearance.
Or maybe not, depending on what’s on it.
No Gollum, no Horizons, no Dune?
BTW, there are hints floating around the internet of some of the deaths fromFinal Destination: Bloodlines.
Don’t read ‘em.
The movie is coming in February 2026.
It’s DC o’clock, and specifically it’sSupermantime!
Fair to say even the gentle chat that’s happened so far is getting some people excited.
And then we got the divisive (but in my opinion excellent)Guardians Vol.
3 andSupermangot to time to brew to perfection, we hope.
A cynical person might wonder if this is partly to help bolster the popularity of the abominable-looking film.
See the #Superman Extended Preview in Theaters on @AMinecraftMovie.
Rachel would play Lex Luthor.
Nicholas says ‘Well, I auditioned for Batman AND Superman…’.
#CinemaCon #CinemaCon2025April 2, 2025
Oh, they are all very cute together.
Shame Hoult’s gonna be so mean to them when the movie comes out.
Brosnahan, meanwhile, is wearing a newspaper-styled Galliano dress.
I’m wearing my live blog formal shirt right now, I know it to be true.
Don’t think he’ll have the awesome long hair afterwards like in that series, though.
That’s all, folks as a certain WB icon says.
NoDune: Messiah, noThe Hunt for Gollum, noSupergirl, noThe Batmansequel.
I’ll see you tomorrow for Universal, Focus Features and Amazon’s MGM Studios.
Is the future of James Bond about to be unveiled?
We’ll find out.
But it’s a new day and that means there’s more movie news on the way!
Will we hear anything about which actor will play Bond in a new film?
Well, there’s absolutely no way we won’t hear a mention of Christopher Nolan.
Bring on those pastel tones!
Later this year in November, Yorgos Lanthimos will release his new sci-fi-comedyBugoniato theaters in the US and Canada.
Let’s look at Universal Pictures’ 2025 movie lineup for a moment.
Over at Focus Features, its upcoming movie pipeline is relatively light.
And that’s the third installment of the historical drama Downton Abbey.

New here?
Or, rather, to take over this live blog for the next 90 minutes or so.
There’s no chance that Amazon will shockingly reveal the next incumbent to play the legendary British spy.
It would’ve leaked online by now if such an announcement was going to be made.
Personally, I’m hoping to learn more about acclaimed director Luca Guadagnino’s next featureAfter the Hunt.
Guadagnino is responsible for hit films likeCall Me By Your NameandChallengers.
We’re building up to the joint event from Universal Pictures, DreamWorks and Focus Features.
Let’s start withThe Odyssey.
I know, I know, I’m really out on a limb with that one.
Let’s move on toWicked: For Goodfor a bit.
Lucas Guadagnino, director of Challengers, has a new Amazon film coming out this October
DreamWorks will, inevitably, meanShrek 5emerges from the swamp.
I’m picturing clips of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Zendaya in the recording booth.
Maybe some unveiling of other cast members, including cameos and returning faves.
Vin Diesel, of course, has been pushing for movement to happen.
It might just be as simple as a name.
But here we are.
15 minutes until the event starts!
Let’s talk about humans interacting with large CGI lizard-y things.
AndJurassic World Rebirthwill no doubt get some love, given its July 2nd release date.
Yes, I probably will.
Let’s do a quick horror sequel catch up!
The potential for him to nail an Excorcist movie is huge.
I am also seeing that Universal is working on an as-yet-unnamed movie with an upstart director called Steven Spielberg.
It’s scheduled for June 12th, 2026, and is written by frequent collaborator David Koepp.
I have recently loved Koepp’s work on his back-to-back movies with Steven Soderbergh,PresenceandBlack Bag.
I am also now suddenly remembering that I quite like Spielberg’s movies too.
Today seems like the perfect moment to give us some details.
Universal is starting right on time, unlike Warner Bros yesterday.
He’s got a thing about time, y’know.
What have you done for me lately?
Here’s Donna Langley, anyway, the key head honcho.
The Naked Gunis a reboot of the 80s movie –The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!
We are promised lots of trailers and footage of upcoming movies.
That’ll do for me, let’s get into it.
Gareth Edwards is a VFX master, and apparently was an intenseJurassic Parkfan as a kid.
It’s DreamWorks now, and they’re talking aboutGabby’s Dollhouse.
It comes off as wildly popular though, so I’m happy for the people involved.
The Bad Guys 2is next.
There’s a clip of the movie presented by Awkwafina and the always-charming Craig Robinson.
This time, The Bad Guys will face off against The Bad Girls.
It’s coming August 1st.
Awkwafina and @MrCraigRobinson are here to talk about The Bad Guys 2!
The first footage is being shown, and it’s coming out on September 19th.
It’s out August 15th,
Hutch is back.

Time to get classy with Focus Features.
The countdown begins now.

M3GAN 2.0time!
M3GAN will be used by the military to take down another killer android who makes her look positively chilled.
Alas, she is not positively chilled, she still wants to kill poor Allison Williams.
Jason Blum is back with James Wan to introduceSOULM8TE, the only movie with a dumber name thanM3GAN.
What if you tried to use M3GAN-style tech to make home helper/relationship robot?
How would that go?
Well this movie supposes: probably not.
It’s coming in January 2026.
We seem to be blasting through some light updates on major 2026 movies!
The first clips ofWicked: For Goodare being shown to the crowd right now.
CinemaCon will be THE FIRST AUDIENCE EVER to see footage from @wickedmovie For Good!
And that’s it from Universal!
No Nolan or Spielberg, but lots of Blumhouse, and some musical magic.
We’ll be back for Amazon MGM’s event later we’re expecting you, Mr Bond.
(Though maybe not a lot ofdetailabout you.)
Zac here from the TechRadar Australia team, and Amazon MGM’s presentation is about to begin!
Amazon MGM’s presentation is underway, kicking off with footage fromProject Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling.

CinemaCon 2025 is nearly over.
With only one more day of presentations to come, what can we expect from today’s schedule?
Let’s get some preamble going shall we?
Anyone remember Arnie inThe Running Man?
I love a bit of silly 80s action and this classic is dripping in it.
Guess who’s back?
…Remind me never to introduce myself like that ever again, yo and thank you.
Amelia has already covered a number of big releases that Disney will, well, release in 2025.
But, there are a couple of highly-anticipated Marvel films that she didn’t.
Their first big-screen adventure in a decade,The Fantastic Four: First Steps, arrives on July 25.
Would it be too much to ask for another trailer?
Hey, I don’t make the rules!
The highly-anticipated superhero film was also confirmed to be in full production at the end of it, too.
I live in hope that there’ll be some sort of bigAvengers 5surprise, mind you!
That should be it news-wise on the Marvel movie front, too.
Namely, that it’s now calledSpider-Man: Brand New Day.
Meanwhile, the only other MCU movie with a confirmed release date isAvengers: Secret Wars.
One last thing before I bid you farewell for the final time.
And that’s it from me!
I leave you in the capable hands of my colleagues for today’s main events.
Thanks for hanging out with me and catch you all soon!
Spoilers: it’s probably Tom Cruise!
It’s always Tom Cruise.
What are we expecting?
Obviously a splashy Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning section with Tom C and lots of ridiculous stunt footage.
TheNinja Turtles: Mutant Mayhemsequel would be nice to see too.
The somewhat troubledScream 7would be a good candidate to get some real information.
And speaking of horror sequels, maybe we’ll hear about aSmile 3today.
And, regrettably, we will surely get some new footage ofSmurfs.
The single most important #NakedGun movie since the other Naked Gun movies.
Only in cinemas this August.
Here’s the first trailer for the newNaked Gun, starring Liam Neeson and Frank Drebin.
Somehow there are now multiple dirt bikes riding around the stage while the @MissionFilm theme plays!
Paramount’s advice to theaters:Limit trailers.
Matinee pricing until 6pm.
), but catching more kids after school with extended matinee discounts and other options could be smart.
He shows a Sgt.
Pepper spoof image of the Paw Patrol pups. You know Im joking, right?
But we will hear aboutThe Running Man, right now!
The first footage ofThe Running Manwas shown by Glen Powell, Colman Domingo and Josh Brolin.
It’s animation time!
Mark Hamill is back for his second CinemaCon appearance, to talk about the new SpongeBob movie.
We’ve already seen the teaser trailer, though!
It’s coming August 1st, and the crowd is getting a better first look at the movie.
It’s coming later this year.
Incidentally, I’d like to see Tatum direct again; I thoughtDogwas really good.
Tom Cruise is here, as inevitably as Knight follows Day.
(Little joke for the Cruise-heads there.)
Interestingly, Cruise is off-teleprompter for his introduction ofThe Final Reckoningdirector Christopher McQuarrie he’s reading from notes.
Cruise is talking about his history with McQuarrie they met on the movieValkyrie, and really gelled.
They’ve basically been a movie hive mind since.
They’re now sharing more heartwarming banter.
Aaaand… that’s it!
A very light presentation as they go, considering Paramount’s extensive history and slate of films.
As Cruise would say, see you at the movies.
No doubt Marvel will be a big focus for the Disney panel later.
After the stumbles ofQuantumania,The MarvelsandBrave New World, the MCU really needs to get back on track.
I expect Johnny Storm can get into plenty of trouble in Sin City…
The huge question mark is over Robert Downey Jr appearing to hype upAvengers: Doomsdayagain.
We’ve already talked Marvel, so let’s talk Star Wars.
At least, so far.
These days, Marvel and Star Wars are minor concerns compared to the real juggernaut of cinema:Avatar.
No, not the Airbending one announced a few hours ago, keep up.
We’re due a Predator movie this year, let’s not forget!
We know very little aboutPredator: Badlands, despite it being scheduled for November.
James Gunn just posted the nearly five-minute preview ofSupermanthat was shown to CinemaCon viewers a few days ago.
We’ve had a sizzle reel that featured a few interesting tidbits, includingTron: Ares.
#CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/PWarZLEXsQApril 3, 2025
Predator: Badlandsyou say?
We are starting with Lilo & Stitch.
And the cinematography also looks just too flat.
But we’ll see.
Lohan inMean Girlsis still maybe the most charming an actor has ever been on-screen.
The teaser came out a few weeks ago, if you haven’t seen it yet.
With the now de-rigeur dose of Chappell Roan (also used inM3GAN 2.0’s teaser).
Jeff Bridges is here, delightfully, along with… sigh, Jared Leto.
I’m on board.
BUT NO TIME FOR THAT, we’re on toPredator: Badlands!
The Predator hunts across a series of planets, and their goal is to take down something even deadlier.
We’re talking The Boss.
Jeremy Allen White is here to discussDeliver Me From Nowhere, the Bruce Springsteen biopic.
Jeremy Strong is also here, playing Jon Landau, Springsteen’s long-time manager.
Jazz musician Judah Sealy is playing Clarence, for those (like me) wondering.
A trailer has been played, and it seems like a heart-hitting biopic, alright.
Then, we see Jeremy Strong’s character as .
“These are the songs he wants to work on right now.”
Star Emma Mackey and returning presenter/co-star Jamie Lee Curtis are on-stage… and then are joined by Brooks himself.
It’s coming in September.
‘Heaven is big auditoriums full of folks eating popcorn…and the butter is French.’
The screenplay is by Tony McNamara, who wrote Yorgos Lanthimos’The FavouriteandPoor Things.
So this one will probably get weird.
Oh, that was it for Searchlight’s ‘cool indie’ portion of the evening.
Lots of action, lots of jokes.
Now we’re moving ontoElio, the next Pixar movie.
Zoe Saldana is on-stage I suspect not for the last time tonight.
The new footage being shown from Elio looks like Super Mario Galaxy and Pixar had a baby.
The 3D is crisp, vibrant, and looks like the best way to see this movie.
#CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/mVwr44u9R7April 3, 2025
Zootopia 2is back, having already cameo’d before.
This franchise really awakens things in people.
PS, yes this movie will be calledZootropolis 2in some countries.
No, I still don’t know what’s up with that.
First look at Nick and Judy in therapy in ZOOTOPIA 2Quinta Brunson voices their therapist.

Quinta plays a Quokka.
Just gotta get that off my chest.
And to end things!
A first look at @officialavatar: Fire and Ash, in theaters December 19!
#CinemaCon #CinemaCon2025April 3, 2025
No Star Warsat all??Wow.
She’s lining up the first footage of the movie, available in glorious 3D, naturally.
I am concerned that all this fire talk means not a lot of time with my friend Payakan.
They fly on Banshees over their home.
Large ships come into the port and fly in the sky.
A new scene shows Neytiri flying through a canyon.
They’re so earnest and dorky they pull all the way around the spectrum back to cool.
The magic of the movies!
Well, that’s it then.
CinemaCon is over when it comes to announcements.
James Cameron gets the final say, as he so often does.
Thanks for joining us over the last few days!
Has that piqued your curiosity?
Because senior entertainment reporter Tom Power has done some speculating of his own.
Find out what the latest footage confirms below.
